Honestly you should be using the arrow keys and left control/spacebar to play the game like we did back in the day when the game was run directly from MS-DOS before windows was a thing. It's a very interesting subject and I encourage you to read about it. There aren't actually any polygons in either DOOM or Wolf. It wasn't until Duke Nukem was released were many modern aspects of a FPS engine were added, including the ability to look up and down.
